New House

It has been an emotional roller coaster ride!!! Buying and selling a house is stressful beyond belief! Just when we thought things were ok, we hit another bump in the road. Things were fine. Not fine. Fine. Not fine. This was the trend for over a month all the way up to the last minute.

Friday finally came (never thought it would) and all went smoothly at both settlements. In the end, it was all worth it because we got the house we wanted!!!

Now the fun has began…making the house become our home. We have been unpacking (we will be unpacking boxes for awhile) and shopping (best part!) for odds and ends needed to make the house our home.

Ginger has settled in nicely. She was skeptical at first. Of course she checked  out every nook and cranny. She found the most important thing…

Her food!!!

She loves her new backyard!

She’s right at home taking a nap!

We are home!!

Selling, buying, packing and unpacking equal lots of stress. We were in that same situation last June. Today I shared how quickly that year has passed and we are settled and loving our new home. The closings are over and now you can look forward to making lots of good memories.

  2. Congrats on your beautiful new home, Shelly! So cute to see Ginger making herself at home. 🙂 What a pretty backyard! Your pretty tree makes a perfect spot for picnics and settling in with a great book and your writing! Wishing you lots of joy in your new home!
