Celebrating a Colleague

Do you have a colleague that is…
Thoughtful?
Compassionate?
Supportive?
Dedicated?
Talented?
I DO!!!
Her name is Sue Gagliardi.
Not only does she work in my building, but a fellow kindergarten teacher.
Not only is she my colleague, but my friend.
Not only is she my friend, but a published children’s author!
Today, during our faculty meeting we surprised Sue by celebrating her amazing accomplishment…her first published children’s books! She also has 21st Century Disaster series titles, California Wildfires, Hurricane Katrina, and East African Drought of 2011, that will be available in August. This past week, Sue began working on 3 new books in a STEM series titled, Fairy Tale Science. She is writing the following titles: Three Little Pigs Windproof House, Three Billy Goats Gruff Raft, and Gingerbread Man Bridge. These books should be available Jan. 2020. They will include hands-on science experiments related to the fairy tale. All the books are through Focus Readers, North Star Editions.
Sue is not one to be in the spotlight, but so very deserving to be celebrated! Many didn’t even know of her accomplishments. She is so very humble of her success. She not only writes children’s books, but also magazine articles.
I’m so lucky to have such an incredible colleague and friend! So happy to have celebrated her today! Congratulations, Sue!
