My Outlet

I’ve been taking one day at time as I figure out this new schedule of mine. More time to focus on myself. More time to…

Work out!

I try to get in some sort of workout three days a week. Depending on the week, sometimes less sometimes more (rarely more). Now with all the extra time, I find myself doing a workout almost daily since my gym is accommodating its members by remotely hosting workouts live on Instagram! So far this week…yoga, a run outside (had to take advantage of the beautiful day), and barre.

A workout for me is so much more than getting into physical shape. It’s for my mental and emotional state of mind as well. It is an escape. It is a stress-reliever. It is an attitude adjustment. It is a mood changer. It has so many benefits!

I had many health issues for years. I never thought I would be running 5Ks or doing various workouts. I overcame many obstacles over the years. Exercise has been extremely beneficial. Exercise is my outlet. Exercise is my victory!

#SOL20 is my fifth year participating! I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to connect with incredible writers! This community brings me so much joy and inspiration! Thank you TWT for this amazing community of writers!

  1. Great post. Exercise is good for the heart and the soul. I’ve been engaged in a running streak that I feared would end if we went into a “shelter in place”, but I found out that I can still run outside if I keep my social distance. No problem with that. The streak continues. Good luck with the exercise! Thank you for posting.

  2. My teenage daughter and I made a decision today that we were going to exercise every day during this break. I think it will be a great thing for us to do together and give me accountability! Good luck to you!
