We have been looking at different text structures in Writing Workshop. Here is our anchor chart at the end of the unit:
We made an ABC book called The ABCs of Kindergarten as a class to practice one of the text structures. We did “A” together and I had some students draw the picture to go with it. I chose some to share with everyone. The students really enjoyed it! There were more letters than I have students so I asked some students to do more than one. One student did 3 letters!
Gym is fun because we run.
You walk in the hallways.
Keller is our teacher.
Learning is fun.
Will is a sight word.
Y is for yelling outside.
