I decided to do a poem about green for St. Patrick’s Day. What does green mean to you?
Green is…
A snake slithering through the tall grass.
A vase made of delicate glass.
A turtle basking in the sun.
A hose waiting to be used for some summer fun.
A frog croaking a sweet song on lily pad.
A dragonfly skimming the pond a tad.
A cool cucumber sliced in a bed of fresh greens.
A side dish of long, slender green beans.
A grasshopper jumping about.
An alligator waiting for a meal to chomp with its long snout.
Leaves creating shade for those hot summer days.
A chameleon on a branch taking in the sunrays.
A M&M melting in your mouth not in your hand.
Seaweed washed ashore on the sand.
A lucky four-leafed clover.
Renewal and life taking over.
Love this poem. Great rhythm and love your ideas of green!

I love all the connections to nature. But where is jealousy?

I see you managed to get dragonflies into your poem! How do you rhyme? I loved your closing lines, Shelly. Now I am sorry I did not write a green color poem today!
